Many many years ago in West Berlin, our section had arranged a trip to the Berliner Kindle Brewery. Around 20 of us travelling to the American sector on the U Bahn (the Berlin Underground); we pulled into one of the stations along the way, the doors opened and a young German man walked on to our carriage carrying a globe. As if by magic, and with absolutely no talking beforehand, as a single entity, we all burst into song. 🎶 “ He’s got the whole world in his hands, he’s got the whole wide world in his hand“ 🎶 without stopping, the young German simply walked through the length of our carriage, with us all singing the song, and got off through the other open door and just stood on the platform as the train pulled away.
To this day I cannot look at a globe without reminiscing of that afternoon with a smile.
Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
