I've always wanted one and now finaly I have one! Below the bird feeder is also a hummingbird feeder. I hope to put more in the front yard to attract local birds and hummingbirds
Great addition to your backyard! I'm sure you'll have an abundance of subjects one the neighborhood birds learn about the new food source. Nice shot of the titmouse; great lighting as usual.
Tremendous news that you've got a bird feeder! And I love the Titmouse.:) If you REALLY want to draw in birds, add a bird bath. Feeding birds for 30 yrs, and the bird bath is the most popular place. It is a bit high maintenance, and in the winter, I have to go out with a kettle of boiling water every morning to thaw out and replace the water. But even in the most frigid temps, birds DO bath!
I brought my feeder so I could take pictures of the birds and I find I just enjoy watching them almost as much as my cat. If you get catbirds or Orioles then an Oriole feeder is a good buy. I put grape jelly and oranges in it.
Your dof for this photo is perfect! Wonderful detail in the foreground ( I can even see the seed in the bird's mouth!) and great bokeh in the background!
