Balanced on the line between Nebraska and Iowa, this moment became more than just a stop along the way. The bright yellow “48,” left behind in chalk by someone unknown, felt strangely personal—like the pavement itself was marking the journey. Surrounded by faded colors, footprints, and messages from strangers, the image captures that rare feeling when timing, place, and meaning unexpectedly align. Sometimes the world leaves little reminders exactly where you need them most.
This photo got me interested enough to do a google map study to figure out where this spot is. Turns out there are several choices. I like it when I learn something new from photos on this site. Nice words to go with the photo.
