This is just one of more than a dozen allium buds about to burst forth in our garden. Lots of photo opps coming up I think. The pinkish background is actually a brick wall completely blurred out. I'm experimenting at the moment with shooting on manual exposure and using spot metering so that I can eventually get more creative with light.
Oooh, that is so lovely. Mine aren't quite as far on as this, probably a day or two behind. I love Alliums and am looking forward to yours and my shots. This shot is fantastic, the way it is bursting out, and your focus and dof, and your blurred wall. Perfection. +F
There is so much in the world I know nothing about. This was the first year I paid any attention to the allium and I LOVE them! FAV the bud photo. Love the details and touch of new color.
Wow, love this one! Fav for me. Were you using a macro lens, or did you crop to get that close? Love the DOF and the soft pink color you got with that brick wall background.
@ronah macr lens - almost no crop, just a tiny bit around the edges. canon f/2.8 60mm. Tripod of course as i'm not a steady shooter this close up! Thx for fav!
