Just stopped raining so a walk on the prom. this stone jetty and the little building was a station and once had a railway running up it for both passenger and cargo transports. It is next to the hovercraft building that rescues people from the quick sands. We have two lifeboat stations one a boat one a hovercraft. There is a port for the isle of man ferry further along the coast in Heysham pronounced hee not hay. What a week this had been. A&E on Monday tests and scans on Thursday but thankfully not the serious thing they thought, have yet to have an mri scan to find out what happended
@ceilidh thank you @gamelee thank you, hope you got a good catch, i imagine it is only flat fish to be caught? There used to be a coop of fishermen and a stall, we use to get the brown shrimps , its a shame they are no longer here although there is a shop that sells the shrimp nearby
