Well I was disappointed today. This was taken at Martin Mere wetlands trust, we had to pay an extortionate amount of money to get in to see a lot of our native birds!!!!!!!!!! and a few others And they wanted more money for a map! Many of the birds were in pens of open ponds with gates on them so I can only assume they had their wings clipped!!!! whats that about? anyway the plus side was there was a few of these handsome creatures, and he obviously thought he was as he is admiring his reflection
Well Linda I have never visited Martin Mere even though I live only a few miles away. Sounds very disappointing though! More like a zoo than a bird haven by your experience! You did well catching the pinkness of this lovely chap!!
Good shot - like the reflections. There are pink flamingos at Marwell Zoo where I went today but it's hopeless trying to get a shot of them - so I am a little envious!
Don't you hate that? We spent a fortune last year to go to the zoo outside Boston. It was terrible. Worst zoo I've ever been to. We were used to the free zoo in St. Louis which is the best we've ever been to.
