We are continuing to walk the length of the lancaster canal. We are still on the northern reaches beyond where the motorway has severed it in several places. This is Hincaster tunnel and it has a horse path near by which is still there. The canal boat people would pull the boat through by a fixed rope or chain. Apparently the rings for this are visible
