bathsheba dries off by pistache

bathsheba dries off

there had been another quantity of rain and as the sun came out i went into the garden with my camera and came upon bathsheba flattened against this salvia flower, seemingly moribund. as i watched she started to move, shaking herself about a little and using her antennae to sort herself out. because she took her time, i was able to capture some images - not as much movement as usual! i had the velvet 56 on, which wouldn't have been my lens of choice, but her dilatory progress helped :)
Wow, incredible macro! Just gorgeous!
