sourdough satisfaction

this walnut loaf was delicious, even though i say it myself. i've dipped in and out of sourdough baking for the past couple of years, and after rather a lot of trial and error, i'm more confident about knowing what on earth i'm doing. proving for less time than the book says seems to help, since you ask :)
I have never tried this, but have started buying a weekly multigrain sourdough loaf at a local co-operative. I think it is the nicest bread I have ever tasted. I like to support them because they are training ex-prisoners in bread making to give them skills and experience. Walnut sourdough sounds excellent. Yours looks good too!

I love sourdough bread. I’m very impressed you have a sourdough starter. Through the years I’ve had various starters, cowboy biscuits, fruit, sourdough and every single time I found the recipe was just the rough draft. I always end up tweaking, changing, fretting before I finally am happy so I completely appreciate your efforts, I know it was delicious!

Sour dough is comfort food. Glad to see someone else's started, mine kinda looked like that.

I like the suggestion of the recipe and the bread, in the background blur against the edge of your starter in the jar. Very evocative.

A lovely composition of this all time favourite.

Great doing your bread at home. I used sourdough for a while, too, then sadly I let it go rotten... :(

I'm keeping a sourdough alive at the moment but have no time to bake. It costs a lot of precious time and I'm very interested in where you win yours.
