Sculpture No.16 by pistonbroke

Sculpture No.16

British sculptor Antony Gormley is probably best known for his “Angel of the North”, the massive iron and steel construction just off the A1 at Gateshead, and “Another Place”, 100 life-size figures looking out to sea on Crosby Beach near Liverpool. No.16 in my sculpture month is one of his more modest works. “Still Feeling” (1993), lies horizontally and is made from lead and fibreglass
Cool capture and quite intriguing. Thank you for bringing all of these sculptures and their brief history to us. I am really enjoying it.

I love this journey you are taking us with the varied sculptures and their brief history . This one intrigues and puzzles me a) the title , b)the prostrate body -- to me it looks like a mummified body ! -- but why on its side !! However just looking at it face value --I love the smoothness ,contours and the shine on this black body --I shall be puzzled until I google it to find a bit more !! --thanks for sharing .Isn't this 365 great !!!! fav

It is cool. I like the white lines, white background, then slash of black for the floor and dark sculpture. Effective.

Good shot. By coincidence I took more shots of his figure in the crypt at Winchester Cathedral yesterday.

I didn't realise he did the sculptures on the sea shore but now I see this it feels obvious. Love the Angel of the North, this is lovely too
