Sculpture No.35 by pistonbroke

Sculpture No.35

For sculpture no. 35 in my sculpture series, I’ve returned to Henry Moore. This is “Sheep Piece” a large bronze made in 1972. Moore liked to see his sculptures in outdoor settings and made this piece especially for the sheep that grazed in the fields next to his home at Perry Green. I think the sheep look very appreciative of this shelter!
I like how this piece interacts with the animals.

This one I LIKE -- it blends in with its surrounds and much appreciated by the sheep on all accounts ! It could have been there for many a generation --in fact since the bronze age -- a timeless piece of work . I could live with this for ever ! A fav

Great capture, the sheep are definitely happy to have the shade I think.

This is amazing. I've seen some Moore at U.S. art institutes (Kansas City especially) -- seeing this in its proper environment is even better!
