Ancient staircase

How many feet have trodden this spiral staircase in the 420 years since it was built? I’m still inside Rushton Triangular Lodge, and this tight, tiny staircase winds its way from the cellar, below ground level, up to the roof. The entire building is a proclamation of the catholic faith, with symbolism everywhere. Although very small, the lodge has significant historical importance, and is now under the ownership of English Heritage
Waw !! Glad I do not have to climb those stairs !! Great light and pov !

I love this shot (fav) which is quite something because I actually have real trouble with old spiral staircases - touch of phobia even!
