Very Blue Day by pixiefsu50

Very Blue Day

94 / 365
So, today was a very sad day at work. Four of my fellow coworkers were let go. Somehow, when I am told that I was one of the "lucky" ones, I don't feel much better. These people have become my family and I cherish the relationships we have. I am devastated at the fact that one of the four was my co-reviewer. She was my "other other half". Everything I review(ed) is with her and now I feel so lost not having her.
So, for the four of us that were "spared" we are now going to be split up into two teams and are going to have to be the reviewers of 7 counties, 2 of which that are the most active. I originally had one of them all to myself and now I am going to have to take half of the 7 on top of my county.
So, as the title says, its a "very blue day". I pray that each of them have other opportunities open up for them quickly!

We had a day similar to yours about a year ago. The company randomly (or so it seemed) decided to let about 10% of our staff go. Even though you may be one of the "lucky" ones, it definitely does not feel "lucky" when you think about people losing their jobs or having to completely rearrange how you complete your work. So sorry for the tough day! Just hold your head up!

I'm sorry to hear this. I hope things improve soon. There seems to be a bit of this going on in your workplace of late if I remember correctly.

Lovely photo.

Beautiful flower spike! Sounds like you have had a rough day... I hope your co-workers will find jobs quickly. And it sounds like your work load has at least doubled. "Sigh" :(

@floriandra Thank you Sandra! I really appreciate you sharing your story and knowing I'm not alone!

@danacarruthers Yes, Dana, your memory serves you right. We have been having a lot of shake up's recently in staff. I just want the dust to settle!

@calm Thank you Cathy! It was a very interesting looking flower! I really hope they find something as well! And yes, as of today, my work load has double (at least).

@bkbinthecity Thank you! I am too...

@myautofocuslife Thank you so much Livia! I think things will get better soon enough. It will just take time.

@copperheadglass Meredith, I completely agree! Thank you!

All: I'm so sorry about the mass response...today was insane!!!
