I've come to realise that field craft is everything while trying to capture a good wildlife image. I am having some great lessons (thanks @padlock ) and is certainly not a chatty walk in a field. It involves sometimes being told to "shhhhh" mid sentence, crawling on belly in mud trying to get closer to prey, sitting still for AGES (and for a fidget that's hard work) climbing in, over or through fences/barbed wire and on one famous occasion having no choice but to walk calf deep in water to get out of a hide following a sudden rainstorm with over an hour's drive home (had to drive home in bare feet, but did retain my dignity by keeping the soaking wet jeans on!) So lucky really that I am a tomboy at heart and much prefer doing this sort of thing that remaining perfectly neat and tidy. But I am getting closer to my prey, which is what I am aiming at! Just need to perfect the art of holding my camera dead still, which I really rubbish at, especially in a breeze!
@padlock Thanks for passing on your knowledge, there's a lot more I need to learn, but it's a good experience

@pixiemac stability is a great place for a start! Stability i think is needed as a place to build up and from. Stability at times is hard won and worth being pleased with. Keep fighting the fight. Great to see your images.... keep taking them and enjoying your camera. Helps to keep our minds in more wholesome places. X

Hard lessons learned, good pictures captured. Good news is you are getting better, bad news is you have only just started !! Remember when I say go you go.
