For as long as I can remember (so at least 40 years) I have received hyacinths as a gift from my brother at Christmas ( he lives in the heart of Lincolnshire's bulb country). Last Christmas this was just one of numerous traditions Covid robbed us of. Nature however had other ideas...this is one of last year's bulbs currently marking the occasion of spring 2021 in time honoured tradition.
