This was for my Get Pushed challenge for this week - to shoot something in black and white where the colours would detract from the image if it were to be left in colour.
I would say this works far better in black and white. To give you an idea of the colours:
- The door frame on the left and to the right was an off-yellow
- The blurred background through the glass was a mixture of terracotta and other random colours
- The flowers were a bright pink
- The leaves were green
- The pot was a brownish colour
So you can see how it would have been a cacophony of colours! I think it works relatively nicely in black and white, given the circumstances. xD

Great work! I am definetly a fan of B/W (especially old film black and white like Ilford), but I'm interesting to see it in color. Still looks wonderful!
Moody indeed! Very nicely done - with your description of such bold colors in the original image, black & white definitely changes the feeling of this image. Awesome job! I really like the detail on the petals and stems.
