Still testing how clear my new camera can do macro shots compared to my old Sony cybershot. Not bad since I did not want to be too close to this bee. Correction: Hope said this is a Hoverfly so it's harmless. Ok to bee close :-)
Excellent macro my friend!really crisp and wonderful color.But you need not worry,this is a harmless Hoverfly which is a bee mimic.Bees have two sets of wings.
Perfect---my friend told me this camera gives excellent results in auto mode than manual---w/c I do prefer-I have no time doing the physics of manual.just want to compose,focus,have fun and shoot...HA!!:)
@jodimuli I only have iPhoto for processing and the 2 edits I mainly do with my images are maximizing sharpness and cropping. I am not tech savvy yet when it comes to photography. Really have to get into manual settings soon.

Most bees are not aggressive unless they are protecting their hives. It's the wasps/hornets/yellowjackets you have to watch. I garden with honeybees all over my flowers, and they are pretty easy going.
