Faded

After yesterday's SOOC shot I've gone a little OTT with the editing on this one! I'm not sure whether I like it. Honest opinions welcome :o)
I like it. I think it's great that the heart of the flower is still in focus and the colour is beautiful. would I do this myself? Probably not, but I like it when others do this.

@geertje Thanks Geertje. I threw just about everything I could at this shot but enjoyed the process...and the processing :o) xx

Depends on what you're going for - the processing creates a bit of a melancholy mood ... faded ... a rainy day type of feel. Without the processing, it would be a flower. This tells a story.

@beachradish You're right. It was just a flower. Quite pretty but that was all really. I was having a bit of fun but the more I processed the more I wanted to go in the melancholy direction. It seemed to suit it. Thanks for commenting xx

I like it! I love processing and generally cant leave a picture alone. Why have a plain flower when you can have a melancholy, rainy day, purple hued one? Glad to find someone who enjoys this process as well. :-)

I've been out of touch so I will need to see yesterdays. I think this is beautiful. I need to see what the color of the flower is. Very beautiful processing in my humble opinion.

on the whole, i really like it... but then, in general, i really like flower shots that are desat or b&w... not sure if i would have done anything differently... maybe aimed for a smidgeon more contrast between background and flower in the lower right hand corner, if that was an option here, but that would be just to try out...

Great processing.

This is different processing for me. However, I like the vintage look and the details and the depth the processing brought out on the blossom.

I agree with Peter, it has an old fashioned look to it. I like the color.

I find it...dirty beautiful! Thats a good thing.

I quite like the nostalgic, vintage look of the picture. I bet that would work nicely as a canvas print, with the texture of the canvas adding to the texture of the processing.
