You know that old saying, when cows lie down expect rain. I think we've had enough really and considering it's nearly the end of May it would be nice to get some hotter weather but at least it didn't rain whilst I was out. This shot is a view from my garden. My husband has been kind enough to remove some of the trees so I can get a better view.
MOORHEN CHICKS UPDATE- My husband went out this morning to check on progress. He counted 6 so I guess the last egg has hatched now. When I went out there were only 5 in the nest but I think one of them was having a swim so they're all accounted for :o)
Thanks so much for all your support, comments and fav's. I appreciate each and every one x
@mummarazzii Thanks. I did fiddle to make it a bit more inviting. It's so dreary here as you can see by the awful sky. You're welcome to as much rain as you want :o) xx
@myautofocuslife Thanks, me too. It's depressing when you can't rely on the weather. I should be wearing T-shirts, shorts and flip-flops at this time of year but I had to go out in a coat this morning! xx
Lovely shot - the grass looks so lush and soft and the scene so tranquil!
I'm wondering if it'll be the wettest may on record after the wettest april on record and if so if they might think of lifting the drought conditions.....?!
oh my goodness... you can see cows and sheep out your window? how cool is that! sorry to hear about the dreary weather... hopefully the sky will clear soon!
Same here with the rain! But warmth and sun are forecast for the end of the week, hope it's true :-) I like the composition and the colours, very interesting!
I vaguely remember another similar shot a couple of months back ... I so like the telephone towers in the back and the juxtaposition of nature and urbanization. Like the layers - towers, sheep, cows.
You can send some rain this way if you want!! :)
@marieooi Thankyou. I liked the layers too xx
