Dedicated...x2 17.01.12

...to Michelle Young for being so dedicated. I had some time today to give this a go. I'm sure you've all seen this week's #1. Wow! What an amazing shot! This lady is like a dog with a bone and the indisputed Queen of the water shot. I've added this to my techniques album because I'm trying to learn the correct way to achieve this. I have a feeling I know what went wrong. The water was flowing too quickly and I was focusing on my finger rather than the water so the droplets weren't as focused as I would have liked. I'll definitely try this again at another point. I did go one stage further today with the addition of the wrapping paper behind so I'm at least one step further up the ladder :o) This will be entered into the January treasure hunt for rainbow.

Here's Michelle's far superior #1 shot for any of you who haven't yet seen it.

@Cherrill Admittedly I didn't spend as Michelle did to get her shot but it was a fair time...in two shifts :o) I will try again but I found that the light was changing as I was doing it. Some shots which might have been better drop wise there was a massive shadow from the tap so I'll have to try again another day xx

Really well done. I'd love to try this.

Wow great start! I love the glitter rainbow behind it all, although I find myself only looking at the shiny stuff the water part of the shot is really good too!

@shellbelle Thanks michelle xx

@lostwaveitb Yeah, I know what you mean. I took some more later on and opened up the aperture so that the pattern wasn't as defined, worked much better. The more I do the more I understand so I'm sure I'll get there in the end :o) xx

Awwwww great big squishy hugs to you.. You just made me well up here.. I am such a sofite xxx Its a bloody hard shot o achieve Lisa, and your approach is right, you learn from your mistakes, just a little adjustment here and there and it starts to come together.. You are noticing where you need to make changes which is a massve start. I had the tap dripping, not running so even though it look like a stream of water in mine, its actually the fall of the drip from the tap.. Dont know if that helps at all.. hugs xxx
