Black Banksia bomber!

This elusive bird is the yellow tailed black cockatoo and they eat the Banksia cones, and if you are standing below they will throw them at you!
They hide in amongst the branches and ait is very difficult to get a clear shot. If they didn't screech and make so much noise talking to each other you would never know that they were there!

We see these beauties on our Stanthorpe property, they are beautiful but very destructive. I love their plaintive cry as they fly in from the surrounding hills. Fav :)

@gigiflower thanks Sam, I love these funny birds and we see them heaps on the south coast but they are tricky to photograph!
