Autumn leaves in Oz

Not at all sure why these gum leaves have brilliant red sections on them as they are evergreen, but they were quite spectacular on my walk up Red Hill today on just this one small bush.
I thought they had pretty awesome edges with the red, so have tagged for the weekly theme!
