It seemed very appropriate in the current catastrophic fire situation to post another fire from the controlled burn of the cane field.
That tractor is loaded with water and there for 'just in case' - wasn't required.
Having experienced this recently, I still can't imagine being in the fire storms happening at the moment.
Fire is so devastating .. I hope something changes soon so that you/ Oz can get some relief.. We are being told that the smoke and dust could be reaching us tomorrow...
This is a super shot, well taken. Yes, controlled fire is so very useful and I love the way the Australian Bush regenerates after fire as it does after floodwaters too. An amazing eco system. But oh, the thought of facing an out of control firestorm..........terrifying and devastating for anyone in its path. I hope you get some good rainfall to restore those plant moisture levels that are above critical point and dampen this lot down. So early in the season for this.
