My biggest memory of visiting Amsterdam was all the bikes! People said there would be lots but I had no idea until we got there what they really meant!! What a great shot!
Now that is amazing. you have more bikes than cars on the road. not here. did the bikes fall over ...how can you find yours in that heap?
wonderful candid picture.
Chaos? It surely looks like it...... Interesting shot. We know about the bikes in Holland!! My husband made the mistake of stepping off the curt into a bike lane and almost got killed. I pulled him back just in time.
Oops, this one made me smile.
Apologies for not commenting recently but there was entertainment every evening; wifi was sporadic in Dorset and the clutch on my car died an honourable death! All back to normal for. Few days so time to catch up.
You are lucky to have a lot of flat land where bicycles can be used comfortably. Our hilly landscape doesn't allow for biking unless by the fittest. Besides, our roads are all congested with traffic making it dangerous to go out with a bike. Love your shot and title.
@chimfa If she study in Leiden she soon will. @bruni No problem. They all look different. @gijsje Ja. @aglennc@cruiser In Holland you`ve to take care for bikes . They are declare sacred . @ceilidh I just glad you`re back @dide . Have seen it,a great statue . @sangwann Our hills are the headwind . We always have the wind against us . For that electric powered bikes are very popular in our country @cruiser@ivan@quietpurplehaze Thanks for the fav.`s Much appreciated .
This looks like a wonderful place to go and it seems everyone who road one of these bikes must be on one of the boats below the bridge. I love your facts and figures. Hollanders really like their bikes.
wonderful candid picture.
