Hofjes are usually built in a U-shape with a yard or garden in the middle . A lovely quiet place in a crowded city.

This is lovely Ferry and I see at a glance all the pretty places you've been photographing! I may look through them all without comment, for which you know how sorry I am, but things are so busy today and now until we leave here Monday.
