The unstoppable hunger of the city

Took this pic. to day. (Hot, hot, hot.) The buildings in the back are the new developed district and houses from our city.

The city people will regret it when they no longer get all the fresh food and beautiful flowers grown in these fields. Remember the lines to the Joni Mitchell song? "They paved paradise and put in a parking lot." In this case, buildings.

You have an interesting image -- is the field encroaching on the city or vice versa? I like that the field seems to be 'winning' the battle here, if not in real life.
