@Weezilou Dear Louise. This island(area) was nearly whole flooded by the big flood in 1953. So they have to rebuild it completely. Those bushes are knotted willow trees

Even a field of beets looks lovely in the Netherlands! We actually just had beet greens with dinner tonight. I saved the beets for tomorrow. Beautiful shot- you would never know that it was once under water from that flood.

Amazing that a beet field can look so nice too. the bushes are actually willows, never seen knotted willows looking like a bush.
