Heatfield by pyrrhula

Heatfield

My other toadstool paradise. The heatfields of Kalmhout . (Takes me about one hour to drive to it.)
Looks like the plains of Africa....was expecting to see a herd of zebra.....:)

It does look rather unusual for toadstools 😉

I too think this is quite unusual a place to find mushrooms as we have them- or the field mushrooms as it suggest in fields ! grow in damp wooded areas , But an interesting area to visit I am sure !

Very nice shot, Pyrrhula.

It does look very dry, not where I would expect mushrooms. A great shot Ferry

Nooit naar paddenstoelen gezocht op de heide; ik ga toch eens op zoek, samen met mijn kleindochters die hier de herfstvakantie doorbrengen.

@ivan @gijsje @overalvandaan Kalmhout is on the border with Belgium, we share that place, south of Bergen op Zoom/Huibergen. @ludwigsdiana @beryl @suzanne234 @gijsje Surprice , it`s very wet to. There are many small lakes/waters we call: Vennetjes https://365project.org/pyrrhula/365/2015-10-05

Almost looks like you are having a drought there

This is a typical look around the ocean - the mudflats that flood when the tide is in.

Nice grasslands!

The Heatfield must be damp enough for mushrooms to grow. how do you find them in the high grasses?
October 24th, 2017
I know it has to be moist for mushrooms to grow, but in this picture the grasses look like they could be growing on the African plains. I guess it's the dead tree that makes my imagination wander in that direction! Nice shot.
