The inspiration by pyrrhula

The inspiration

One of our most famous painters Piet Mondriaan has lived in this area and developed his famous abstact works here. The paintings of abstracting trees was a start.
(Painting own by, and to be seen , Gemeente Museum The Hague .)
Thank you for adding the insert, very
interesting

Mooie boomgaard. Mondriaans abstracte bomen zijn schitterend. Moet weer eens naar Den Haag.

Just a tree in nature yet how this simple tree can be the inspiration to such a beautiful abstract painting !

What a great idea to show his interpretation along with the actual trees (perhaps not the actual ones he painted but the same species). Great collage!

I love that you include an artists work ! it keeps me thinking ! You can see how close Piet Mondrian studied the tree shapes and spaces in between !

Beautiful capture of those trees. The painting does look abstract. I never heard of this artist.

Fabulous when compared side by side, you can really see where he got the inspiration from

How wonderful that you put that marvelous artist's work with your similar trees...similar to what he would have seen and drawn! It's exciting to live where the inspiration was found...and the Dutch are certainly well known still for the masterpieces that came from your region!

I' not really familiar with the artist's works but can see how this view would inspire the painting in the inset.

I feel so fortunate to learn more about art and other parts of the world every day just by being on 365. This artist does very creative work, and I thank you for sharing the comparison. It makes me feel more cultured! Nice capture of the the trees that inspire the artist's work.
