A different colour all together. so all these tulips are grown for seeds only?
Thank you for your comment on the tulip festival.
There is a tulip festivals in Ottawa, Canada's Capital. it's on from May 10 to May 20. it's a good five hour drive from where we live. weather forecast says rain for those days in May. Ottawa has flood warnings and some people had to be evacuated because a dam broke. so we're not so sure if we should rather go next year.
This is wonderful. I like the various shades of pink/purple tulips and the contrast with the orange of the roof on the building in the background. The people in the field really give perspective as to the enormity of the field. Wonderful composition.
Wow... great colours. At the tulip festival I went to they did have signs about not walking into between the rows. But the photo with me was a small section where it was allowed. It was the "U Pick" area but we didn't get any because they wouldn't have survive the long journey home.
@bruni No. to grow the bulb bigger and ready for sale.
The multiplication of bulb flowers is not usually due to seed. They grow the smaller bigger. To get more of them, they carve a cross in the bottom.
