How long does it take a pigeon to build a nest?

I was hanging out the washing this morning wearing a coat (because the wind is cold here) and with my camera in my pocket (I think that's normal as a 365er). Mrs Pigeon was having a drink from the upstairs guttering and then she started flying back and forth to her prestigious nest site. It's been approx two weeks since she started building but she does seem to be on morning shifts only..............
Well captured, if it wasn't for the face (and figure), with those beautiful wings she could be mistaken for an angel amid the blossom!

Great shot - just make sure you don't park your car below the tree. Mine is covered in you know what because the pigeons roost in the tree all night and in order to keep the drive clear, I park my car below it

@tishpics You've reminded me that after posting a pic of a carved angel in a church (28/2) I decided to do some research online to find out why/how we have this idea of what an angel looks like. Also after you asked me if the pic of me was taken on a self timer, I decided to have a look at what's on my camera and found that it does have one, also have been using the camera on manual so you have converted me from a point & shoot after several years!

@rosiekind I do sympathise - what awful stuff to remove from the car and sometimes it damages the paintwork. Luckily for us the nest is in trees over a stream at the bottom of our garden and no chance of parking under it.

I agree as I first thought of an angel as well. Great capture in mid flight like a crucifix - the garden adds much interest also. Great shot.

Wow, she looks like a trapeze artist. Loving the mid-action capture!
