flag: CRM centre d'interprétation - Port-Vendres - flag: le petit train jaune
A couple of years or so ago, Ray and I took the Charles Rennie Mackintosh trail in the south of France to follow some of his footsteps with his wife Margaret where he spent the last four years of his life in the Pyrénées Orientales.
We went on 'le petit train jaune', visited 'centres d'interprétation' in Palalda and Port-Vendres. It was a lovely holiday with a focus, not to mention the wonderful sunshine. But, unlike Rennie Mackintosh and his wife in 1923, we returned home.
The idea for this holiday started with a Christmas gift from Clare to me of a book 'Monsieur Mackintosh' when she worked as a volunteer at the HQ of the CRM Society at Queen's Cross Church in Glasgow, designed by Mackintosh. http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/add-ins/2013-05-14
Thank you all for your comments, much appreciated. How's about a 365 excursion to the south of France to do some photography in the sun?!!! (It's rained all day here.)
Carren, I'd like to be there right now, in the SUN!!
