We had breakfast in the garden this morning. An unseen robin was singing his autumn song (a bit early but it reminds me always of Watership Down) and a huge dragonfly was flying crazily overhead, not settling on anything for even a second. So here's a shot of one of the bees who were greedily guzzling nectar from the hosta flowers by the stream.
Lovely shot - they seem to be so content with their lot in life this year don't they? Have seen plenty and just adore the sound they make when collecting!
I always use the LCD screen, not the viewfinder, for bee shots. You could try setting the pic on small and also set continuous shot so the shots are taken quickly. When the bee starts to come out of the flower I start shooting - really cruel!!! It's mostly a matter of timing - I have no luck at all with butterflies or birds!!
Many thanks, Beryl - still missing one as one recorded fav came without a comment. (I'm not suggesting you should give two - hehe!)
