beautiful in its simplicity.....

.... the Saxon church of St Laurence at Bradford-on-Avon.

The church probably dates from the 10th or 11th century. Certain evidence also suggests there may have been an original church here from 700.

Think that was probably the case - this church was 're-discovered 'mid 19th century.
