The birds have mostly ignored our new bird feeder. Then we noticed the fatballs were suddenly disappearing.
Squirrels are not stupid.
It's raining cats and dogs here this morning. Ray has just gone out with Jinks. Oh, he's just come back in again as Jinks refused to walk. Can't say I blame him!
Great shot Hazel - he looks as he has found his heaven !! The squirrel who visits my garden seems much wilder and I only ever see him scampering across the top of the wooden fence ! No rain at the moment here but a dull damp day !
All the squirrels seem to be eating all the bird food all of a sudden....we don't see them for ages then there they are.......eating for the winter perhaps! Gorgeous day here Hazel!
I know, I have three guesses as to who ate the fat balls and the first two don't count! LOL LOL What a cute shot and I just love how the squirrels can get in so many positions to get to what they want!! Love this! FAV!
Ray just tried to take Jinks out but was back in 2 mins as he refused to walk in the pouring rain.
Sam, in my pic just above the squirrel's head you can just see a fat ball. For what they are made of see: http://shopping.rspb.org.uk/suet-balls-bumper-box-of-150.html
Molly, thanks. These frames are on a program called FastStone - some are a bit way out but I've found a few which I use regularly.
Sandy, see

I find that I like some bits from FastStone and other bits from Picasa 3 - shame I can't combine them.
