looking for bread

I was standing on the high 100 yrd long wooden footbridge over North Pond to take this. It's a huge pond, more lake size, and is just across the road from South Pond where my erstwhile 'friends' the geese live.

I never take bread as I understand it's bad for swans, ducks etc and, besides, any leftover bread in our house is cubed and made into toasties as treats for Jinks.
Extraordinary! What beauty and grace!

Beautiful capture with lovely light! I took over 50 shots yesterday of swans - I couldn't resist their frisky antics! I hope I have something as good as this! Fav!

Do they ever do anything else. I go down by the river and te first thing that happens is that the swans and ducks start swimming towards me, even thouh I never feed them.

Yes, I believe the bread can swell up in their stomachs and cause discomfort! But if I'm not mistaken bread fried in a little oil is OK.
