Antony Gormley's feet  by quietpurplehaze

Antony Gormley's feet

When I visit Winchester Cathedral, I always go down to the Crypt for another view of Sound II. The 'landscape' is always slightly different: the light varies and so does the amount of flooding. This time the ground was almost dry, except for an obliging puddle around the sculpture's feet.

see the whole scene when it was flooded here:

I'd like to be able to make Jinks aware that his 'chrysanthemum face' shot of yesterday is today on PP, thank you everyone - but think he's more interested in why we haven't got out on the walk yet!
Sam
It is certainly a lot different to the other photo! And now.......please take Jinks out for a walk ;)

@gigiflower

We've been! And it was cold! And now he doesn't want to go out in the garden for his midday pee!!

A beautiful find. Great capture of the reflection . It makes a nice abstract .

Jinks should be honoured, it's darn hard to get on the PP these days, I haven't managed that for months! Anthony Gormley's feet are almost always in the water at Crosby!
March 21st, 2015
Fantastic point of view. You are so very right about the same location always being different.
March 21st, 2015
Awesome reflection- i hope to visit one day!
March 21st, 2015
CONGRATULATIONS on the PP!!!! Isn't it exciting? Love the reflection here and I wonder if his feet get cold in the water? LOL FAV!
March 22nd, 2015
This is really nice, Hazel. Great POV and composition.

@cashew

Kathy, thanks. That would be strange, wouldn't it, if, wherever he is at the time, Antony Gormley himself got cold wet feet every time the crypt floor flooded under his statue?!!

@loweygrace

If you come to Winchester you must say as we are only about 7 miles away and there would be tea and cake chez nous!
