The smaller birds in our garden often have to be content with fatballs as the fat pigeons eat the seed as soon as I put it out in the tray on the bird feeder.
The hanging feeders that we bought were not a success, with seed and nuts being left until they became mouldy. But I have my eye on a different type of feeder which I think might defeat the unlovely pigeons.
Lovely capture he is very cute and fluffy. Hope your new feeder is a success I have the same problem although I do have an old feeder further down the garden with a cage around it to keep out the large birds, which has always worked.
A great capture and framing of this lovely bird. This bird ( our name is : Koolmees) is the most frequent visitor or our feeding place. We have them always breeding in a tree in the backyard were I`ve placed a breeding house.
Thank you, Graham. Have been watching the blue tits for ages but they are usually too quick for me - got lucky for once!
The title made me laugh, I blame it on my dirty mind ;)
fatballs don't go down well in our garden !
One of the neighbours has a bird box and I think this blue tit may have a nest in it.
