Some plants seeded themselves just outside our kitchen door and as they grew, were recognisable as poppy plants. Then we had gales and the wind uprooted and blew over the tallest of them (4 ft tall) so Ray, with his usual care, picked it up and re-planted it.
And now we are rewarded already with a cluster of poppy blooms and lots more buds to open.
