Britain's National Bird by quietpurplehaze

Britain's National Bird

It's official: it's the robin. http://www.countryliving.co.uk/news/vote-britains-national-bird

This one came for the crumbs from our afternoon tea of cake/scones.

He stood quite still while I took a few shots and seemed to be listening to the camera's autofocus.

I only put my little Lumix in my bag at the last minute before we went out.
Lovely shot, fortune does favour the prepared. And it was a great choice for a national bird.

Lovely, capture, it's great that it's official, I've always loved robins. We have a nesting pair in our Italian vase, I think they have hatched but daren't get too close incase I frighten them.
