robin redbreast

When I went out to replenish the bird feeder this robin was sitting plump and singing in the lower branches of a tree.

I hurried back in for my camera, feeling sure he would be gone when I got back but there he was, pecking at the fat balls I'd put out.

Posted for my mini 'red' series, although he does have a rather orange hue!

This is a fantastic shot of this lovely robin, great colours. I really like how he is positioned and how he appears to be watching you, as much as you him. Just so sweet.

All the bird seem to prefer the fat balls over the birdseed we put out. We buy them in the garden centres or big DIY stores here in England, pet shops too of course.
