la mer - square

Our living room wood floor is being renewed so all the stuff normally in there is distributed around the house.

We were eating our breakfast in the bedroom when I looked out of the window and saw a woodpecker at the top of the neighbour's tree. No suitable camera handy!

So here's a view of the sea from a beach restaurant in Fouras last week.

I tried hard to make the square square both in taking and processing the shot - to no avail.

And it was really destined for square-september.

He was a lovely woodpecker but I can't think what he was pecking at on the trunk of the neighbour's tree which is as dead as a dodo! And has been for some time.
