I met this Peruvian Striped Owl who lives at Falconhigh with around a dozen owls, falcons and buzzards including the little barn owl who likes raw chicks for breakfast.
She seemed to be fascinated by the sound of my camera. (I've mislaid my mascara - surely she cannot shed any light on the subject.)
I have to let her off the hook, Wendy as it turned up in the wrong drawer this morning!

She was on a tether (as were all the birds) for her protection in a little wooden enclosure. Look by her claws and you can just see the green tether.
