red, white and blue

Union Jack flying high in the sky at the Hovercraft Museum on Remembrance Sunday.

The sky really was that blue.
Wonderful capture & sense of movement of the flag. Gorgeous sky.

Beautiful focus and timing our colours flying proud against the blue sky, well spotted Hazel:)

Looks so good against the blue sky. A battle-scarred flag is perfect for Remembrance Day.

Fantastic shot. I can almost hear the flag flapping in the wind. Good to see someone is experiencing some blue sky.

@wendyfrost

Well, thank you - it took seversl shots to get this one as the wind was blowing it mostly inside out.

Great shot of the Union Jack and that beautiful sky.

It's a very good shot Hazel... the problem I have is that showing this symbol on Remembrance Day suggests that the only lost lives that matter are British ones.

@yrhenwr

Not in my radar to suggest that and I just happened to see the flag and thought it would make a good shot. I take your point.

@quietpurplehaze And so it is ..... and upon reflection, given how ragged the flag is, I might have taken the shot as a symbol of the UK today!

@yrhenwr

You should have seen the other shots I got - lots of them - with the flag all twisted and tied up in knots in the wind at the top of a very tall flagpole. At last I got one that looked like a flag and showed its patterns and colours!
