@quietpurplehaze I've always used a zoom lens. The first time that I really tried to use my 50, was on a city photo walk and I couldn't get far enough away to fit what I wanted into the frame. I love that it's so light and I'm enjoying playing with it in the garden. We're going to Spain next month and I'd like to take it with me, so I need to get used to using it:)
Can you say what you find difficult/don't like about the 50mm, Merrelyn? I'm just interested because I have a totally different view.
I agree it's not useful for city architecture shots in terms of distance. I use mine for portraits and also a little like a macro lens.
