I went to St Cross in search of rust, the theme for our monthly U3A photography group meeting.

Despite most of the buildings being medieval, I found only this barely rusty gate into the Master's garden.
Love this - such definition and great contrast of the wood and metal.

Really nice lines here, Hazel..I like how the front gate has that diagonal but the background on the right goes the other way..and the lines in the ceiling adds value too. so pretty

Interesting critique, thank you. The gate opens from the cloister into the garden at the almshouses and the lines going the other way are the uprights of the cloister.

Lovely point of focus, tones and textures the lighter background really bring out the detail Hazel well spotted:)
