The morning was bright and sunny so, after 2 weeks too long indoors, I took my camera a short walk past the church and on to Evelyn's, the café in the village.
I ordered a decaff Americano which came piping hot, full to the brim in a large cup looking more like a soup bowl. I looked at it for a while and then had a feeble attempt at picking it up with two hands.
(My bipolar meds give a side effect of a slight hand tremor: I don't complain; I am just grateful for what keeps me well.)
Suddenly the solution was ridiculously simple: at my request, the young waitress 'decanted' the coffee into a tall mug. Easy, so simple to pick up. Next time I'm out for tea/coffee, I'll just ask straightaway.
And then I decided on a fruit scone with some of that lovely 'corrugated' cream and raspberry jam.
Yummy! We felt we had to go out today too as it was so long since we had had a sunny, dry day when we had been cough, cold and lurgy free! We only had soup...quite envious of your scone and cream. Fav for making me hungry!
A beautiful composition, looks so traditional and yummy. Glad that you got out and that the waitress was understanding. Having a half-glass attitude continues to help me too, mine with my knee.
No worries, no misunderstanding! I am not always positive and couragous but have learnt it is the only way to be with the 'stalking beast' of bipolar, as one sufferer called it! Here's to a long and interesting 365 relationship!
Oh my ... first of all - a wonderful shot of this dainty feast! Just love the lighting, shadows, composition - beautiful! Secondly, what I wouldn't give to have tasted a bit of this loveliness! Big Fav!
Gloria, thank you, it was totally delicious!
Peter, thank you.
I might have to go back and try a different sort of jam!
Thank you and for the fav.

It was the way it had been scooped into the pot - or maybe I was just too excited!
Only soup is also good! Thanks for the fav.
I shall just ask in future and if anyone shows incomprehension, I shall just tough it out.

OK but does sitting in a cafe count?! Will have a look.
Thanks. Tagged.
