Beautiful wisteria with perfect dof and fabulous bokeh! Love all the little highlights - it has a name but my brain can’t think of it -specular highlights? I need to check that Hazel as it could be the wrong word! Lol! Fav for your gorgeous image!
I can see what you mean! I am not sure if it is bokeh or not either, but it's definitely background blur! Wisteria reminds me of a candelabra up close.
@quietpurplehaze You may well be right - what's in a name! What's happening here is that the background is mostly much brighter than the foreground so, relatively speaking, the light parts appear to the lens as point light sources and are rendered as such; the darker areas are simply rendered out-of-focus.
