Lords a'Leaping

I really liked the 10 Lords a'Leaping in the Christmas event at Uppark.

And the notices on the beer barrels give a bit of social history......

I'm suddenly reminded of my dad writing, in his diaries at Christmas 1943, about a touch of humanity in the work camp at the cement factory at Cossebaude:

"Christmas Evening saw us in the works canteen where there was a piano. The Kommandant was there and he gave a bottle of beer to everyone who did a turn......"

I remember that passage! Curious how those beers in your photo would taste.

@jacqbb

I would not be a good judge even if offered half a pint as I cannot stand beer! Perhaps not so good for the servants.
