Yesterday at Lacock Abbey I was getting togged up,in the dressing-up room, as a nun of the Augustinien order in the Abbey and trying to take a selfie for today. A fellow photographer asked if he could 'borrow' me for 2 mins. So I agreed on condition that he would send me a copy of the photo which he has - thank you, Tony!
The orderly life of a nun would have suited me, I think, plus plenty of material for bedtime reading.
I was always in plays in infants and junior schools: the Virgin Mary, the fishmonger's wife, the gypsy wife.........(stereotypical?!) Life changed a bit at secondary school stage.
What's that saying about regressing to one's childhood?
We'll you shocked me for a minute Hazel......thought you had been hiding your light under a bushel! Rather an amazing experience to dress up in nuns clothing.
Perhaps I thought I was still playing the gypsy wife?!!!!
Best laugh I've had all day - thanks!
Well actually hate to say it but it was just a bit well 'shapeless'!
2 a.m. start!
You're v perceptive, Pat!!!!!!
This is a lovely shot of you, have you gone all coy in your dressing up clothes;0)
Well OK then, you both know me too well!
